The fee is collected by the ledger at the moment of sale, by the same transaction that moves the NFT and the payment. TapCoin never holds the buyer's money or your NFT.
You pay only the XRP Ledger network fee (a tiny fraction of a cent per edition) and a refundable reserve the ledger locks while you hold NFTs and open listings. We show the exact numbers before you sign.

On resales between collectors. Your resale cut (0% to 50%, you choose at mint) is paid to you automatically by the ledger on every trade that settles through an NFT offer.

Does TapCoin ever hold my NFTs or my money?
No. You mint from your own wallet and every sale settles wallet to wallet on the XRP Ledger. Our broker account only matches a buy offer with a sell offer and keeps the platform fee; the NFT goes straight from seller to buyer and the payment straight from buyer to seller, in one transaction.
One exception, and only if a platform sells your NFT by card: TapCoin passes the NFT to the fan's wallet and holds it only while waiting for the fan to accept. If they don't accept within 24 hours, it waits and is offered again on their next claim.
Why do I approve 8 at a time?
The XRP Ledger mints one NFT per transaction. Batch transactions let up to 8 run under one signature, so a 100-edition drop is 13 taps in Xaman instead of 100. If one approval fails, nothing in that group is minted, and retrying never creates a second copy of an edition.
How does the resale cut work?
You set it when you mint, from 0% to 50%. The ledger pays it to you automatically on every trade that settles through an NFT offer, on any XRP Ledger marketplace. It cannot apply to every possible way an NFT moves (for example a free transfer between two wallets), so we never promise it will.
Do fans get the copyright to my music?
No. An NFT is a collectible. Owning one does not transfer your copyright or any other rights in the song, the artwork or your name. If you want to grant a real license, use TapCoin Assets and its written agreements.
Are NFTs an investment?
No. TapCoin NFTs are collectibles. We never promise value, returns or resale income, and you should not buy one expecting a profit. Prices can go up or down, or to nothing.
Which wallets and coins work?
Xaman first, for every approval. Prices are in XRP today, with RLUSD coming soon. Crypto sales are final.
Is it live on mainnet?
Yes. TapCoin NFTs runs on the XRP Ledger mainnet, so every mint and sale is real. The badge at the top of this page shows which network you are on.
